The Sportvisunie and the National Sea Angling Platform took the initiative for this code of conduct. The code provides ten clear rules for safe, respectful and environmentally conscious coastal fishing.
The ten rules
- Know the rules
- Do not cause nuisance
- Be considerate of others
- Fish with environmental awareness
- Use lead sparingly
- Treat caught fish with respect
- Handle fish intended for consumption carefully
- Observe the rules for bait hooking
- Think about your safety
- Observe minimum sizes for sea fishing
